|

Samir Nasri’s Hammers future is very much in the balance after appearing just six times this season.

Should we keep him in the club for next season or release him?

I voted “No” because I would not have him on his current salary. £50k per week max on a one year contract with an optional extension and then my vote would have been “yes.”

Nastiest is a very good player who gives his all whenever he is playing, injures are unavoidable, look at Andy Carrol, but Nasri has the vision to change games

I did put Nasri but phone changed it

Players at that level have rarely played for our club, I would like to see if we can get him fit what level we could reach !

He has always played better under Pellegrini too. He knows how to get the best our of him. Greece are only ones I’ve seen interested in him. Hopefully they sort out a deal he gets £70 if in squad fit but lower basic wage. He is better then Schurrle who makes £100k+ & any free we get will cost sign on etc. If its just knoks bc he didn’t pkay for year & half then preseason get him right.

I agree with lakeside. I also voted no but if he reduced his salary down to 50k pw wit his an optional extension by the club, then I would say yes definitely as he still has class and showed glimpses of it

  • Dom says:

Like others have said, the answer has to be no on his current salary however, If he were to take a reduced salary with a pay rise after he’s proved his fitness. It’s worth another punt.

Agree with Lakeside too. I like Nasri & every time he played he looked very good & changed games for us but he kept getting injuries.
If he would taken a year on £50k or even less really but £70k if plays or is in match day squad. Bc if preseason can get him fit then he is a player & Pellegrini knows how to get best of him.
Makes more sense to keep him on lower wage then get Schurrle on £100k.
But depends where he wants to play. Olympikias want him not sure how much they pay but can’t see many clubs going in for him that would pay a lot.
And if he is fit & playing then he can make is £70k we just have to many injury prone players. With him don’t know if bc didn’t play for so Long or age catching up.
