Neville: ‘Madness’ to get rid of Sam

|

Gary-Neville_2728239Gary Neville has claimed it would be “madness” for West Ham to consider getting rid of Sam Allardyce!

Speaking on SkySports he said: “There’s no way they would be getting rid of him. It’d be madness.

“When you look at the pressure on clubs to stay in the Premier League financially, with contracts and with stadium issue, he guarantees Premier League football there.”

Neville warned, however, that the Hammers new attractive way of playing  may not last.

He said: “Players have enabled him to play more attacking football. West Ham will ditch that style when they go on a bad run, they have to be adaptable.”

Gary Nevile went from being the footballer I couldn’t stand to the pundit I respect the most. Funny that never saw that coming. I try to like Jamie Carragher because he makes me laugh but boy he is long winded! Gareth Crooks and Martin Keown are still the worst by a mile.

I like Neville and I think he speaks a lot of sense and his blunt truthful appraisals make a welcome change on sky from the bland, sound bite churnining, fence sitting bores that happily repeat any opinion given to them!

Doesn’t always say the right things but he is right in his quick summing up.A bit like our spot on Match of the day again, they missed out the Cresswell attempt after a cross sakho’s overhead kick was volleyed into cressies path, what a goal that would have been, with the ole’s ringing round the emptying ground. But the good old hammer bashing M.O.T.D. tried to make us look under pressure for a sustained period.
