New arrival puts Iron’s future on thin ice

Alex Kral’s arrival at the club has put Manu Lanzini on thin ice than at any time previously at the club.

The Argentine one time playmaker appeared to have discovered a new role last season when called on the cover at defensive midfield for Declan.

But the arrival of the 23 old former Spartak Moscow player means that the 23 year old will become the immediate replacement for either the captain or Tomas Soucek should that become necessary.

And with Nikola Vlasic, Pablo Fornals and Nikola Vlasic also available as attacking midfielder Manu’s future now appears to be away from the club.

The Hammers, however, have received no bidders for the player and will now wait until the winter window to see if there is a chance of moving him on.

The club would also be ready to sell any of Darren Randolph, Ryan Fredericks and Andriy Yarmolenko should clubs show any interest in January.

  1. He peaked when Payet left but since his injury isn’t the same player. Moyes was quoted as saying he wasn’t for sale but who knows come January.
