West Ham v Man City Betting Preview

The new season kicks off tomorrow which means it is time to leave the music festivals behind and jump into the numbers and hopefully win some beer money otherwise it is water for me next weekend.
I will summarise the bets at the bottom for those not wishing to read the numbers and reasons.
The first punt is one you could make a case for nearly every Hammers match this season and requires no imagination but can be found at what I think is a big price.
Ask a West Ham fan what their strength is going to be this season and they’ll tell you ‘our attack’, ask them their weakness and it will be ‘our defence’ yet you can get evens on both teams to score at The London Stadium tomorrow afternoon. West Ham kept just four clean sheets at home in the 2018/19 campaign whilst scoring in 13 of their 19 games.
This season I am, personally, going to be trying my hand in the card markets using data such as tackles, fouls, dribbles, times fouled and tackles attempted. With little to no data on match day one, its down to my eyes and limited knowledge.
During pre season I felt Jack Wilshere would have been booked on two occasions for fouls he committed, should it had been competitive games, he is best priced at 11/5 to go in Mike Deans book. Lanzini is 16/1 to be shown the first card, and  he doesn’t mind fouling players and if he starts on the left, he will be up against Walker or Cancelo.
For those chasing a bit more value, Zinchenko is 7/1, is likelyto  be up against Anderson with Fredericks overlapping. Felipe completed the most dribbles per 90 for The Irons last season and was the 3rd most fouled behind Wilshere and Snodgrass.
The De Bruyne look-a-like made the most tackles for Citeh in the Premier League last season while committing 1.1 fouls, he only got booked the once in 14 starts but……that is why he is 7/1. Important – make sure he starts before placing this bet!
West Ham are priced at 12/1 to win tomorrow which is a big price and one that many Hammers will be having a little nibble on, Lastly, consider our new boy, Sebastian Haller to simply have a shot on target at 5/6 with Bet365. Our striker and will be on penalty taking duty in the absence of our captain,
My Bets
Wilshere to be carded 11/5
Both teams to score Evens
West Ham (+2) 23/20
Haller to have a shot on target 5/6
Good luck to all having a punt, here’s to a beer and not water next weekend!
