New deal a must for unforgettable Hammer

|

Michail Antonio is one of those unforgettable figures who will  be recalled with huge affection by those who have known him throughout his Hammers career.

And that he wants to remain a Hammer until the end of his career is no more than most of us would have expected from a bloke who has sweat blood for the team since he arrived from Nottingham Forest five years ago.

Now  30 and out of contract soon after his a 31st birthday we can expect him to show the sort of realism we have become so used to as the club ponder a new offer.

David Moyes has made it clear  that should he remain as manager he will be looking to build a young and energetic team.

In such circumstances it’s probably reasonable to expect that Michail will be offered another two years with a one or two year option.

He has suffered his share of injuries but as a £7 million buy from the City ground under Slaven Bilic on deadline day 2015 he has been one of the best value for money buys in our Premier League history.

He shines as the total professional who is ready to put himself on the line in any position required for the good of the team.

His last two performances have been typically wholehearted. He’s a scrapper and real battler who has been a monster player for this football club.

It would be great to see him here for another four or five years. Thanks for it all Michail and we all know there’s plenty more to come.

You can’t sweat blood, it’s a physical and medical fact. It’s almost the equivalent of giving 110% effort. Whilst enjoying the majority of the content of this site, sometimes the grammar and spelling s atrocious. I know you’ve dug people out before for criticising, but it really does put me off using the site. A little more care = a much better experience. Thanks in anticipation of this comment being deleted.
