New Hammer gets down to training

New Hammer Said Benramha attended his first training session with the first-team squad on Monday at Rush Green.

The 25-year-old loan signing from Brentford with a £21m obligation to buy got down to business in showing the West Ham coaches what he can do.

The winger signed late on the domestic deadline day after an issue with a blood test which meant he was not registered in time to play against Spurs.

The player has now been registered and is eligible to play against Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime but David Moyes is managing expectations saying he will be eased into the team and not rushed.

The 25-year-old usually plays on the left-wing but can play in the centre or the right-wing. He will probably challenge Pablo Fornals for this position but it remains to bee seen what the manager has in mind for him.

Manu Lanzini’s epic goal against the spuds may put him in line to challenge but he is more likely to start on the bench.
