Confirmation that Kurt Zouma is in trouble with his ankle ahead of the game against Lyon has emerged in a picture on Instagram.

ClaretandHugh revealed yesterday that the central defender would be having a second scan on his injury and that he was in a boot and on crutches.

We also explained that he would be seeing an expert today in the hope that a recovery  could be effected before what may be our biggest game of the season in France

That expert appears to be a Dr Kam of the Limetree Clinic, founder of the Elite Performance Therapy Athlete Development Specialist.

Zouma was in Manchester yesterday and hopefully an answer to the problem has been found before the game.

Aaron Cresswell is ruled out of the game with suspension and Issa Diop will presumably be standing by to partner Craig Dawson should Zouma have to be ruled out of the game.

This winds me up so much. Zouma was injured in a banned scissor tackle yet the Referee didn’t even issue a yellow card. By not punishing these dangerous tackles it is simply encouraging their continued use.
