New Lanzini gym footage sends hopes soaring

Manu Lanzini looks to be well and truly on the mend as he steps up his recovery from a knee ligament injury.

Footage has emerged of him running alone in the gym and is very encouraging indeed as he bids to be ready to play by the turn of the year.

The midfielder ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during World Cup training but after surgery in Barcelona and a return to Rush Green things are looking very good.

The player has insisted since the operation that he will be back this season amid other reports that he would be likely to miss the entire season.

But the latest pictures and progress he appears to be making back his view that he will be back to terrorise a few Premier League defences on target.

He was filmed running in and out of a set of cones on his Instagram account where he was seen lightly jogging forward and backwards looking comfortable when changing direction.
