New Moyes contract on the way

West Ham are likely to announce that David Moyes and the club have agreed a new deal over the last weeks of the season or just after.

Both sides have made it clear that they are happy with each other and at the end of a fabulous season – whatever the outcome as far as Europe is concerned – the Moyes contract will be icing on a very nice cake.

Indeed if our information of the past is correct the deal will already have been triggered on the basis that the Hammers finished in the top 13.

Moyes has said on various occasions that his only concern is each upcoming match and that contract discussions can wait.

But it would come as a big surprise were he and the club not to agree to a three year deal after his has taken the club to the much discussed next level.

His once tranished reputation was totally restored this week when he was voted London’s top manager of the season.

And it would be more than reasonable to accept that a League Managers Association trophy will soon join that.

  1. I certainly feel that Moyes deserves a new 3 year deal and he has given us a season beyond what we hoped for and that he also deserves the London manager of the year award

However although he is a good candidate for PL manager of the year he faces stiff competition from Pep (especially if he wins the CL as well as the PL) and Brendan Rogers (top 4 plus FA cup final) – so we cannot yet be sure that a League Managers Association will soon join the London manager award
