New Nasri terms look more than reasonable

West Ham will have to stump up another £20k a week to keep  Samir Nasri for another season.

The club has an option on the player who joined on a lower than expected deal in January after serving a 12 month ban on a drugs related offence.

ClaretandHugh understands that at that time Nasri accepted an offer of around £50k a week plus £20k for each appearance s  free signing.

Now however the terms will rise by £20k on the basic to take the Frenchman to £70k a week plus the same £20k per appearance and given his form since arriving at the club the new terms look more than reasonable.

He has another possible seven games to show that he is worthy of a new deal although the manager is already convinced the player must stay.

He produced a near man of the match performance against Huddersfield and showed himself as a real match changer.

And with all things being equal and barring any injury or form setbacks the deal will be done at the end of the season.

  1. He’s not on loan. He’s our player, he signed as a free agent.

  2. MotM performance against Huddersfield???? You are pulling my chain….

    • “a near man of the match performance against Huddersfield ” I wholeheartedly agree… he completely changed our fortunes – 39 completed passes out of 39 highlights that.

  3. It was obvious to me also he was the game changer, sign him up he seems happy here and he can bring the game changing qualities we are missing in central midfield. All of the players looked better when he came on.
