Newcastle will definitely be without one Kieran Trippier  and Allan Saint Maximin  is possibly doubtful after the 1-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend.

And although one never likes to see players injured that’s a boost for the Irons as they bid to get back to winning ways after the last gasp draw at Leicester City.

Newcastle have hit good form since new arrivals appeared at the club under their Saudi owners despite many Premier League clubs declaring they wouldn’t deal with them!

Money of course – however tainted – always talks and the result has been that the Geordies are now unbeaten in four games after a draw against Watford and wins over Leeds, Everton and Villa.

And that of course will make them an entirely different proposition to the team we beat 4-2 at St James’ Park in the opening game of the season

Trippier was seen on crutches and wearing a protective boot after Newcastle’s win and since then a scan has shown that he a fractured bone in his foot ruling him out of the game at West Ham and for the foreseeable future.

Newcastle announced  “Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier is set to be sidelined for the club’s upcoming fixtures after fracturing a bone in his foot during Sunday’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.

The other doubt – Maximim  – was spotted struggling after taking a knock in the game against Villa.
