Newcastle eyeing £50m Hammers target

Newcastle are eyeing a £50m deal to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to The I.

The Hammers have been credited with an interest in signing the winger from the Ukrainian club, with scouts said to have been dispatched to watch him in action.

Mudryk has been in impressive form this season and has particularly caught the eye in the Champions League, where he has scored twice, once against RB Leipzig and once against Celtic. He also laid on two assists against the German club.

He was also voted Man of the Match last season when Shakhtar narrowly lost to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Newcastle are said to be eyeing up a £50m bid to get ahead of the competition, while there is also said to be interest from Arsenal and Everton.

Mudryk has been likened to PSG star Neymar and one has to think that there is a bidding war looming for the Shakhtar star.
