Newcastle injury boost

While Newcastle will be without Kieran Trippier this weekend against West Ham, they are likely to be boosted by some defensive returns.

The Mag has taken a close look at the latest official training photos from the club’s official website and has drawn some key conclusions, with club captain Jamaal Lascelles looking set to be playing.

He had been laid low by illness but he has recovered and will be available for selection for manager Eddie Howe.

Also returning to the fold will be the full-back Javier Manquillo, who had to leave the pitch due to injury against Aston Villa, but he could feature against the Hammers.

Newcastle, of course, have been in excellent form in recent weeks and have won all of their last three fixtures to climb out of the relegation zone.

Going into this weekend’s game, Howe’s side are four points clear of Norwich in 18th and also have a game in hand on the Canaries.
