Newman explains how Irons scouting will work from now on

New Hammers recruitment chief  Rob Newman has made it clear that he will be giving  manager David Moyes as many options as possible  when the transfer window reopens.
Speaking about his new role and relationship with the manager and how it will work he gives a very clear insight  in an interview on the club’s official site.
With David Sullivan stepping back from having a heavy involvement with new signings, Newman is the man who will be scouting them and engaging with their agents and putting in the hours watching games.
The times really are a changing at our football club as Moyes and his choice of individual to take in one of the most important roles at any football club get ready to start work together.Newman insists that he will be working very closely indeed with Moyes as they move into the market together for the first time in January.

Speaking to the club’s official website, the former Manchester City man made it clear: “I’ll be working very closely, because obviously, we can find all of these players, but ultimately, it’s down to the manager to really tick off the box.
“What is important, from a recruitment point of view, is that we give him as many options as possible. We find out what type of players he likes in each position, and we scour the world to find those players to put in front of him.
“Then, we’ll do our due diligence, firstly by the department, and then obviously bring the manager and staff in as we progress further down the line.“Hopefully, we’ll come to a list of players who are good enough to come in and better the squad.”
