There are some new faces and new deals about to be signed at the West Ham Academy. ExWHUEmployee revealed some exciting news on his social media account yesterday with a list of players to be retained by the Hammers academy as well as news of some new signings.

Players Retained:

Luis Brown: Defender, son of academy manager Kenny Brown Jr. (played 1991-1996) and grandson of legendary defender Ken Brown (played 1953-1967). A new Brown dynasty !

Tyron Akpata: Midfielder, extending his stay with the club. Described as a popular teammate.

New Signings:

Majid Balogun (U18): Forward, Nigerian descent, joining from Manchester United. Scored in the 2022 Albert Phelan Cup final.

David Chigwada (U18): Forward, joining from Manchester City (previously with Blackburn Rovers). Described as a skilful and entertaining player.

These announcements are expected to be confirmed this week , and the club have said they remain focused on retaining young talent and attracting promising players from other clubs.
This is always good news for West Ham fans. It is always good to see the Academy is bringing in fresh talent while keeping some key players.

It will be interesting to see how these young prospects develop in the future.
