Jeremy Ngakia has issued a farewell to the Hammers fans in a message which will be received with mixed feelings by the Hammers faithful.
The 19 year old is expected to join Watford ahead of the new season and  has maintained a stony silence since deciding to quit West Ham.
After making five Premier League appearances the right back chose not to see out the extended season and instead quit the club with nine games left.
That in itself caused loads of fors and againsts among the Hammers fans at a time of the season when our survival was more than hanging in the balance.
David Moyes made it clear the teenager was highly rated but at no point did the club look likely to persuade the youngster to change his mind.
The Hammers claimed it had done all it could to make him change his mind but that at no point were they given an answer to their various offers.
Now in an Instagram message Ngakia has said:
  • I want to say an enormous thank you for all the love and support I received during my time at West Ham. I want to personally thank the manager for the opportunity he gave me to play Premier League football for the club, which was special – making my first team debut against Liverpool will stay with me forever.I want to say a huge thank you to the fans for the amazing support they gave me during my time at the club. I also want to thank everybody at the club who helped me along the way, particularly my teammates who supported me. I have learnt so much from you all and I will never forget my journey @westham ⚒❤️

    Couldn’t agree more ExPat.
Along with the ‘leg-break’ idiot above. Pathetic over-reaction.
I can just imagine the reaction from Hugh if it were suggested Sully or Gold were delivered the same fate. Probably wouldn’t make it through censors, sorry, moderation.

Let’s hope we get due compensation for our efforts in developing this waster!

I feel sorry for him. Teenage boys are none to bright. Crying maudlin tears over deserting the team when needed merely reinforces my belief he lacks character. Perfect for Watford and their owners

No real reason given for kicking west ham United & DM in the teeth when they were fighting for thier very Premieship survival . There must be a load going on in his head .
But to sign off with ( ⚒❤️ ) is taking the rise .

A very hollow PR message with no substance he just confirms ‘ thanks for everything I’m off’ and whilst disappointed at his lack of loyalty to the club even during the last nine games I still maintain the old adage to play players who want to play for us. Onwards and upwards.

    Cant stand footballers like this.
    N0 loyalty
they are like local slappers who dump blokes just to gain money
and a better pair of shoe’s
Once a slapper always a slapper
i’m sorry we even courted him.
What a tramp of a football player.
Hope he never plays epl football again.

Yep! A real kick in the teeth after the Hammers invested so much time and effort to make him the player that he is. So showing his true gratitude after learning so much from everyone… he signs for Watford. I wonder how much more money he was offered. I hope he just warms the bench.

A young talented man with no self ambition or self direction. He has been badly advised and I hope he can make something of his ability with somebody better to represent him.

A belated message which carries very little meaning…… an afterthought probably before his next announcement… Losing Payet and Arnautovic were body blows….. but this was more of a kick in the teeth.
    Good riddance I guess.

Clearly Ngakia’s now able to afford to pay somebody to run his social media accounts, and that person isn’t very bright, if they believe for a nanosecond that this ‘personal’ message comes across as either personal or sincere. This sort of stuff just makes me depressed for football. What an irritant Ngakia is.
