No change in Moyes position

There has been no change in David Moyes position at West Ham despite continuing daily speculation linking him to a move to Everton.

The Daily Express have written the 58-year-old manager will become a free agent at the end of the month but that is not correct as he has 12 months remaining on his existing contract.

He spent 11 years at Goodison between 2002 and 2013, before leaving to replace the retiring Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United but while he is fond of his former club he believes he needs to finish what he has started at West Ham.

The manager and owners have verbally agreed on a new three year contract and there is no rush to get the paperwork signed with Moyes having some downtime with his wife.  Contracts are meaningless anyway in some regards when it comes to managers and more related to what compensation will be received if a manager jumps ship.

Nuno Espirito Santo is one man who has been tipped to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison. The Toffees have been linked with a host of Nuno’s former players in recent days.

  1. What is it with The Express and their constant Rice and Moyes stories. Particularly Rice nearly two years of unequaled journalism..

    • The Express along with the Wapping Liar(The Sun)are constantly printing this rubbish.

      • And they’ll continue to print this sort of stuff about Moyes until he signs the contract or walks away. Donwe know when he’ll sign. I thought it was meant to be this week.

      • The Owners and Board and even David Moyes have been rather quiet regarding the Everton rumours.
Please put everybody at ease and issue a statement saying that Moyes is staying.
How can a club thats just qualified for European competition keep everything like this under wraps.
Surely prospective signings and Jeese in particular are not putting pen to paper if they dont know who the Gaffer is likely to be!

  2. They all print the same dross at some point.
    2+2 = 7 nowadays.
