No excuses now Moyes: Manager must play Mubama

The news that Mohammed Kudus has joined the West Ham walking wounded list will have given David Moyes a decision to make. With Michail Antonio and Jarrod Bowen also missing, the Hammers’ front line could look very different. Whilst West Ham are on top of their Europa group, it may require a win tonight and a draw against Freiburg to seal top spot.

So, Moyes will need to take this game very seriously while also protecting players ahead of Sunday’s clash with Crystal Palace. With that in mind, I’d pick a front three of Said Benrahma, Maxwel Cornet, and Divin Mubama.

There will be a huge temptation for Moyes to play both Danny Ings and Pablo Fornals. However, both players have had their chances this season, and neither has performed well on any occasion. Both players are highly likely to depart the club within the next six months, so it should be an easy decision to omit them.
