Tottenham’s defeat last night has pushed their relegation probability up to 14%, and early reports suggest that Igor Tudor, appointed only three matches ago could already be facing the sack. Since the Croatian took charge, Spurs sit bottom of the league for goals conceded, goal difference, expected goals against, expected goal difference, and points, a collapse that has intensified pressure around the club.
One Spurs fan remarked on social media “West Ham and Nottingham Forest have got fight and grit. We have none of that.”
From a West Ham perspective, many supporters won’t mind if Spurs decide to persevere with their struggling manager a little longer. Our own focus, though, after the FA Cup 5th round, turns to Manchester City. We were beaten 3–1 in last season’s reverse fixture, and historically our home record against City is modest, seven wins from 24 Premier League meetings.
Even so, City’s recent 2–2 draw at home to Forest shows they’re not invincible, and Nuno’s side will be ready to take the game to them on the 14th March.
COYI!
Tottenhams form is truly appalling. No new manager bounce at all, if anything they’re worse for it.
When I saw the new manager I was amazed, I thought what on Earth do they see in him to make them think he might turn things around.
They are bottom of the last four, six, eight, ten, and twelve played form tables, with only three points in the last ten played is three draws and seven defeats.
I am staggered that anyone can be on such bad form.
WHU are safe . I have been supporting Spurs since 1967 and we are doomed this season. Mentally we are gone . Injuries not helped but should have been coped with . Igor is not the required man .
