No issues as Moyes and Henry get set for business

Moyes3David Moyes is heading into a brains trust with his old ‘mucker’ Tony Henry as the January transfer window approaches.

Having shown what he’s about with the players at his disposal the manager will now get down to the serious business of deciding on the two or three players the club aim to add to the squad.

And possibly unlike Sam Allardyce and Slaven Bilic before him that is unlikely to cause Moyes even a minor headache given his past history.

TonyHenry_726 (1)Henry’s scouting abilities are well known to each other given their time together at Everton and there is no hint of friction between the pair over his involvement as recruitment director to the board.

We understand that Moyes main priority is in midfield where Maraoun Fellaini could become a major target whilst he also fancies West Brom’s Jonny Evan at the back.

Co chairman David Sullivan confirmed the club’s position on  January signings in the Matchday programme last night writing: “The January transfer window opens in a couple of weeks and we will be looking to strengthen the squad..you can rest assured that two or three new players will be brought in to improve the team”

  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if Right back was another position, it’s hard to see that Fellaini would improve our creativity in any way, he is a decent player and very physical which is maybe what Moyes wants but a fit and firing Cheik can deliver that and also a fair amount of goals, it is Wilshere type player we are missing a midfield general that can also unlock defences.

    • Agreed I like Fellaani but we need a creator a playmaker and I wouldn’t be suprised about a fullback RB or LB been linked w Opare from Ausburg RB who can play LB. Can tell Moyes wants to use Cheik like Fellaini
W Rice PL ready Burke on way back in good form I think we can wait on CB. W Oggy & Reid not to mention Cresswell & Kouyate. Moore is a lot like Burke who we’ve been linked with.
      We need creativity
I’d really like us to have a go for Mohamad Elynoussoui from Basel 5 goals 11 assists 23yo w pace. Norway Intl
James Madisson good shout too 21yo English Norwich 7&8 2 free kick goals in 2 weeks.

Mou loves Fellaini doubt he will.leave in Jan but be free Summer. Evans £30m and City most likely destination. Hope most of this is media & agents tho I like Wilshere him & Lanzini are so similar in styles they could link well or not work out.

Just hope we will be creative & smart go for right player don’t need PL experience just needs to be right fit.
And coming into an organised squad is so much easier then what it was before.

  2. Foullaini? I’d rather we didn’t…
