UEFA has confirmed that the Champions League final has been moved to Paris, per BBC Sport.
There were some suggestions earlier this week that the game could be played in London, leading to speculation over the possibility of the London Stadium hosting the biggest game in European football.
However, UEFA has now revealed that the tournament will instead have its showpiece final in France, and there is the possibility of PSG playing the game at home.
The game was initially scheduled to be played in Saint Petersburg but has been moved after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
They remain in the competition and beat Real Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.
If they progress to the final, they will be playing at Parc des Princes, their home ground, which would give them a mighty advantage.
It is perhaps surprising that UEFA has decided to stage the game at the ground of a team still in the competition and that could well play into PSG’s hands.
