No more West Ham mistakes

No more mistakes

So here we are then!

Our new man Tim Steidten is in the building, the summer transfer window for international deals is now officially open and Declan Rice is close to finally leaving West Ham in a British record £105m deal.

So what can go wrong?

Well quite a lot actually…

Working with Tim Steidten, our supremo must really start putting things into place in order to rebuild our central midfield as well as other positions.

Over the last month we have probably been linked with any midfielder with two legs and a pulse.

Quite rightly , we fans are anxious to see West Ham start to make signings, but it is vital we get it right this time.

We were in a similar position twenty or so years ago when we sold Rio Ferdinand and had (for once) a big pot of money- £26 million.

But did we spend it wisely? No !

Some of us still have bad dreams about who we bought…Titi Camara, Svetoslav Todorov, Ragnvald Soma and there were may more !

But with Mr Steidten at the helm, I am cautiously optimistic that expensive mistakes will be a thing of the past.

Yes so true, we need to be smart.
I thought we got £18m for Rio and in turn brought Repka £5m & Hutch £5m. I do remember some of those afterwards, very uninspiring lol

You are quite right Benny, transfermarkt have all their valuations in Euro, 26m converts to 18m .Mr “red card” Repka turned out to be ok though !

All good Simon, love your blogs on here, keep it up.
I have to say, Repka was/is one of my all time Favs.

Amrabat from Fiorentina would be worth a punt, but I see this morning that Man U are looking at him. Hope we keep Scamacca and he gets chance of a long run in the side.
