No no no to this Irons “deal”

|

The Jesse Lingard saga is dragging on and on with the odds seemingly getting a contract of sorts at some stage.

Our forums have been split pretty well down the middle with some believing we have enough midfielders and that he shouldn’t receive a deal after snubbing us last season for Forest.

Others like the comment from CandH follower hammerpete6 take the opposite view and this sums up the feeling of most who oppose him coming back.

He said: ” I really hope not. This bloke has performed well very briefly for us two years ago, whilst trying to impress Man U still remember.

Since then, he snubbed us with Moyes practically begging him to sign, had a useless season for Forest dropped for many games, and now he’s trying to get back in here?

It’s only Moyes  love that keeps him anywhere near joining us – why sign Paqueta, Ward-Price, Alvarez, Kudos in that time, on top of Benrahma, Fornals, Cornet, Coventry, and yet cling to the ‘potential’ of Lingard? No no no thanks.”
