David Sullivan is clearly still smarting from the incorrect diagnosis produced by “our medical people” when signing Andy Carroll.
And he is not retreating from his position that if he had known then what he knows now he would never have signed Andy Carroll.
The West Ham co-chairman has been producing some very straightforward talking over the past 24 hours on a variety of issues.
And talking to ClaretandHugh tonight he said: “When we bought him we were assured by our medical people that he’d be fit to play by September 1 by the very worst and that turned out to be wrong by months.
“I’ve said before that if we had known then what we know now we would not have bought him.
“He’s a fantastic player who I greatly admire, but had we known the extent of his initial injury we would not have bought him.
First time on here so be gentle! I’m probably writing this in the wrong place but… I have just got up to watch our team play against Sydney!! Possibly the worst I have ever seen! No imagination, creativity, movement or passion!! How can people stand by fat Sam????? He has spent lots of money and continues to provide absolute dross!! I urge the board to SACK HIM NOW! otherwise we will be in the championship if we keep this useless and clueless fat bloke! Ps: where was Teddy s for the tour???
I was under the impression that although he was injured when he was signed he was in fact “fit” and back in training when he did the “ballerina” injury and that the two injuries were not the same?
So I don’t understand where DS is coming from over his wrong by months comments! Can anybody shine a light on the matter?
AC has tweeted his surgery was completed successfully in Baltimore with US world leader in ankle reconstruction Dr Mark Myerson.
What isn’t clear is what surgery he had – Brostrom-Gould repair or Tendon reconstruction, and if he is in a boot, and for how long?
