No show for promised PAI takeover statement

Fascinating times we are living in with a supposed takeover bid being conducted via statements from the ‘bidders’ through the media.

PAI’s hopes of taking over West Ham United are one thing and entirely their own business – as is the way they go about it – but usually, it would be done through solicitors under non-disclosure agreements as are most business deals of this nature.

Yesterday (Tues) PAI chose to offer a few answers to Hammers News – credit to that website for approaching them – but in reality, there were no details  of what they intended to spend and most of the questions answered with a “wait until tomorrow’s press statement.”

Well, we have waited all day and night and still no press statement. We have rung the office number ( a mobile), emailed asking when it’s going to be out there and had no responses.

Quite how much dough they plan to invest and why they want to buy a stadium with is currently losing £30 million a year remains unclear.

Why they have declared they will release details in the media is a mystery – surely they should be talking to the club through lawyers if they are serious in their intentions.

There will of course be those hopeful and excited that PAI are serious but it’s probably as well to remember that this consortium has no history of running successful football clubs.

Until the public statements stop and the serious legal talk starts we’ll let others get on with discussing this stuff.

Those wanting new owners don’t want to hear it but honestly, this is simply not the way takeovers are done.

  1. This article should be about a no show in the transfer market!!.
Not a massive fan of the current owners but not a hater ever….but on the cold light of day these two are to old for this responsibility.

  2. I’d rather we were owned by the sultans of sleaze than someone whose money comes from trading fossil fuels.

  3. Could PAI be a front for the GSB out faction? I look forward to seeing their £1billion in cash(no borrowed/debt please)to further their ambitions for the club!
Suspect it will be a long wait!!

  4. Dildo Brothers out…..

  5. I just think this takeover talks is absolute load of bullxxxx. I’m not a fan of our owners, their transfer activity is all over the place. They have wasted millions on players through Pellegrini and now we have a decent manager he hasn’t been given a pot to pee in. Talking of pots to pee in, I wouldn’t be surprised if they use pots instead of urinals at our World Class (Karren) training facilities.

  6. I wonder when the story on our current owners will be released? I’m yet to see anything about:

DS convicted of living off the earnings of prostitutes in the 80’s.

Appointing a pornstar to the directors board

DS allegedly using the club to avoid paying £700k on tax

2008 DS arrested for alleged sex attack

DS whilst at Birmingham questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting.

Are you telling me that 1 missed statement from PAI is worse than all of this?
This doesn’t even take into account the embarrassment he has caused the club.

    • You’re grasping at straws, bud.

The majority of places you shop, the majority of products you purchase, the majority of what you watch has some form of nefarious activity linked with it from it’s conception to the end product you visit or consume How do you think billionaires become billionaires or companies become multi-national?! Ever drunk a coke, eaten a McDonald’s, smoked a cigarette, bought a car? You didn’t buy any of these things from a local producer.

Sullivan certainly isn’t a saint, far from it, but he’s not Henry Ford, one of the McDonald’s brothers or the Saudi Royal family either!!
