No start for Mubama in Freiburg

|

Hugely promising Divin Mubama has been told by David Moyes he probably won’t be used against Freiburg in tonight’s Europa Cup clash.

Although the teenager has travelled to Germany it seems that he has no chance of appearing which means Danny Ings is set to start

With Michail Antonio staying in London after developing a muscle problem there were hopes the 19 year old would get his chance but it now seems as though the central striking role will be left to  Ings.

There’s always the chance the Jarrod Bowen could be switched to the role with Mo Kudos wide but it seems unlikely the manager would make a radical change for such an important game.

Moyes  – Asked whether Antonio’s absence would mean he might turn to Divin Mubama up front at Stadion am Wolfswinkel,  said he was more likely to have his opportunity from the bench.

Discussing his position the manager added: “We’re playing a really good opponent. We like Divin a lot, he’s 18 years-old, he’s learning his trade and he’s coming along really nicely. But would we start him tomorrow night? Probably not.”
