No summer break for Carroll

|

CarrollhairflyingAndy Carroll – helped by warm weather training in Dubai – continues to make progress from his knee surgery but will have no summer break.

Stijn Vandenbroucke, Head of Medical and Sports Science, in his regular updates on the injury situation at the official site reported: “He will not have a summer break this year as he will be working hard on his rehab during that period.”

He also revealed that Winston Reid is fit and is training hard to be ready for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League fixture at Leicester City whilst Enner Valencia’s position is re-evaluatied on a daily basis.”
James Tomkins and Doneil Henry are continuing with their rehabilitation from shoulder and hamstring surgery.
He said: Doneil has resumed walking normally this week, which is the next step in his rehab and something he is really happy about.”

charlie austin only has 1 year left on his contract. should be quite cheap, when QPR go down.

Many supporters including myself are getting fed up with Carroll and his constant media machine! pictures of his mansion, his big bed, this week pictures on holiday abroad, and now he thinks we are interested in what he is doing during the summer, he has been on one constant holiday the last few years, I wonder if there are other things wrong with him as well as his constant injuries, There must be quite a few strikers who have scored more goals this season than he has done since he joined us.

Hopefully a new manager will persuade the owners to cut our losses and IF we ever get an offer for Carroll ship him out as soon as we can.

yes as long as we already have a replacement.

The major problem i believe is that his seemingly constant injuries are disruptive to the whole team.We can never rely on his availability, this then leads to Valencia, usually, being the one dropped only to be put back as soon as Carrol gets his inevitable next injury. To never be able to trust on the regular availability of what Sam sees as his main striker can be no good for anyone. Thanks for your great 17m well spent Allardyce 😀

Worst part of relegation that, losing your best players. Im glad were safe from all that these days.

A that revelation is related how to this article?,lol, yeah we were lucky we got the points in the bag early in the season before Sams pets returned. We would surely be right in it now was it not for the fortunate system we stumbled upon when Carrol & Nolan were injured, lol 😀

Tbh,i think if a new manager was to arrive they would have little use for AC anyway. There are not many managers around any more who want the big guy to lump it to in football anymore. Is why Rodgers got rid of him.Little surprise really when you have dynamic players like sterling & sturridge now.Why would you want to play The Sam Way given a choice.

If BFS goes to QPR he could take Carroll with him in exchange of Austin. I like this player he had the killer insinct.

  • mattefumi69 says:

    * he has not had.

When fit Carroll gives you 100% but it means BFS uses the style we all hate,
As I have said many times before if BFS goes then Carroll will leave and Nolan,
If BFS stays then so will his boys for however many years his new contract runs for,
Which means we need a refit from top to bottom and those who need a comfort blanket I am sorry but you might be suprised ow well we cope without the Big Fat Mafia ( sorry Mattee )
