Claret and Hugh revealed in an earlier story that Mark Noble’s relationship with David Moyes may be helping the manager to stay in his job. Now our blogger The Cat reveals how he believes that relationship might change in the fullness of time.

I have been very interested in this new role of “Sporting Director” at West Ham  Mark Noble has filled. It is a role that has been long overdue at this club and I feel that Nobes it is the perfect choice for the position.

Although there is no doubt that Mark Noble has had and still has a good working relationship with David Moyes, he also has very strong relationships with both Kevin Nolan and Declan.

Mark Noble bleeds Claret and Blue and although I don’t think that he is solely responsible for whether Moyes keeps or loses his job, I think he is in a position to see and understand the spirit within the squad and has his finger on the pulse.

This has to be a good thing as I believe that he has the integrity to pull the trigger if he feels things are running away from the manager.

In his position his loyalty remains with the club and its supporters, of which he is one.
