Noble: ‘After that we can look forward to United’

|

Mark Noble refuses to dwell on missed chances preferring instead to praise the resolition and determination the team applied to the Chelsea performance.

Speaking immediately after the game on the official site he declared: “We knew they were going to have a lot of the play. They have the had the most possession this season, but we created, chances clear cut chances.

“When you play against the big teams you need to take your chances but I’m not going to dwell on that.

“It was an all-round defensively fantastic performance. The lads dug in, fought together, played together and we deserved a point.

“They’ve won five in a row for a reason so you can’t go gung ho and try and think you can outplay them because you can’t, but you can do things well and that’s what we did.

“Mikey (Antonio) could have had two in the first half and Yarmo will be thinking about that header tonight, but we’ll take a point all day long.

“You looked at these three league fixtures, Everton away where we haven’t been good in the past and we got three points there.

Then we’ve got a point at home against one of the best teams in the country and then it’s a big one against Manchester United after Macclesfield.

After that performance we can look forward to the United game for sure.”
