Noble anxious over new signings

|

slaven-bilic-and-mark-nobleMark Noble has admitted the Hammers face a bigger and bigger battle to get the players they need summer.

The captain is watching as keenly as every other Hammer with the club involved in moves for the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi but says it gets harder and harder.

He knows that the club simply has to bring new blood to beef up what is essentially an average squad but he sounds more optimisiic than confident the club will hit its target players.

He said: “I think we need to get a few in. I’m sure the chairman is working tirelessly to get them in but this market is so hard.

“Players are so expensive now and you get priced out. We’re competing with so many other teams to get the players we want.”

If our captain is worried, the we should be worried too.

I’m not sure he is worried. Or anxious! Those are Hugh’s words. So are “essentially an average squad”. All the captain says is we need to bring in a few players and that he is certain the chairman is working hard on that! No news here. Move along 😂😂

HUGHIE. Admit it you preferred the days when the club spoke about every target, half target and non target and even commented on when the Baroness was taking a dump 😂😂😂😂

You should take a holiday mate. You deserve it.
It does make me laugh the silence from the board is doing some people’s heads in. Especially those that complained about them talking too much last season lmao

True and you wouldn’t class Iheanacho or Giroud as World Class they are at best better than average quality for a top league, yet the money required to buy them is ridiculous. I think the chairmans budget this year should be close to £100m including wages for the new signings, they had £25m left over last season, the one thing I would say is that this January could be a great time to buy high quality signings because any player with international ambitions that is sitting on a bench or a club wants to get rid of will be available. so even in the worst case scenario that we don’t get our targets this summer the winter window if we have a big budget could be great for us.
