Mark Noble has joined a seriously elite group as far as taking penalties are concerned !

The Hammers midfielder took his spot kick conversion rate to a highly impressive 87.5 per cent when he beat Burnley keeper Tom Heaton yesterday afternoon

It was his his 16th Premier League penalty yesterday and he made no mistake to ensure that he has now scored 14 , missed one and seen one saved.

And according to Match of the Day Noble has now scored the same amount of Premier League penalties as Michael Owen, Eric Cantona and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Still aint worth a five year contract though,in five years time he will be slower than Nolan,he aint far off now.Sorry anyone who thinks he is above critisism because he is ‘one of our own’,its just a fact 😉

  • StingRay Stewart says:

Nope, agreed Ty,i think he has been really disappointing in many games this year,he was never fast but seems to have lost a gear or two.Dont think he was worth a five year contract.Decent penalty taker though, not that we get many it seems.

Yesterday nearly all his distribution of the ball was poor, his confidence is on the floor at the moment & it shows. When he is on form he is great, he prob will be our captain nxt season when nolan is moved on.
there are not many of our team who will come out of this season with heads held up high. come august the slate is swiped clean. If we have a good clear out again this summer & hopefully with a new manager on board we can have a season that we can be proud off as we leave BG

Ahahah… Yesterday I read a cunning advice written by one of the best Sam lovers on wetpants.com (lol), rolfe, the man who called trolls those against Sam… He wrote “mmm… What if we put Noble behind two strikers?”. Strange his cunning thought didn’t get a lot of support… Lol

Haha, this guy should be our new manager,he seems to have a great understanding of football 😀

  • Michael Miller says:

I invariably go for Mark Noble to score the first goal – yesterday he came up with the goods at 12/1 – lovely jubbly!

    • Michael Miller says:

… Agreed he’s been struggling lately, yesterday he was given a bit more space and had a reasonable game. When the opposition get in his face he hasn’t got the pace to move away and takes the soft option and passes back or sideways. He’s definitely struggling with the pace of games and is barely worthy of a place in the team.

  • bubs says:

He has been unfortunate to play in the midfield all season carrying Nolan at the beginning of the season he was being tipped for England, sorry I never thought he was at that standard and have said so before but he is a good club player,
How anyone with a brain think he can play in the whole behind the 2 forwards must need surgery, that’s put him in the Messi,Cantona,Tevez class,
Downing just about filled that position but that’s where we are lacking a game winner and midfield controller,

    • mattefumi el loco says:

Ahaha… I agree bubs he needs surgery… But there you can find the best sophisticated managers.. Lol

  • bubs says:

    Matte what about that boxing?
How’s the stat cabinet after the weekend ?

  • mattefumi el loco says:

Ahahah… I’m still sad for manny… Anyway, on friday evening I showed My stats cabinet to an harmless girl… Lol

  • bubs says:

  • bubs says:

Matte 3-1 win good football Real Madrid next 9th May
How did you local club do this week ?
Not a bad weekend I suppose

  • mattefumi el loco says:

Bubs Milan is playing now against Napoli… Milan is losing 3-0… I suggest Davids to take Benitez, Napoli plays an entertaining and modern football… If not him, Bielsa.

  • Willtell says:

If Noble is in the Cantona class it’s about time he started graduating…

  • bubs says:

Matte I think Benitez will go back to Liverpool families there and Rodgers sounds more like BFS every time I hear him and then says we will win the league next year,
Plus the American owners won’t wait he wasted the money he received for Suerz and one Gerrards going,Henderson another Noble no replacement,
Sorry about the score but at least you watching good football.
