Mark Noble is ready to take Frank Lampard’s advice the next time he takes a penalty kick.

The former Hammer gave Mark a piece of advice he has never forgotten which our midfielder  recalled after missing his spot kick against Spurs.

Noble last missed from the spot in the 1-0 defeat by Chelsea back in 2009 and Lampard told him afterwards: “When you take the next one make sure you smash it into the back of the net.”

Noble said: “I will never forget those words and hopefully I’ll be doing just that. I’ve always told myself there will be one day when I will miss one.

“We got a harsh lesson on Saturday. It really was a heartache to miss against Spurs but I will still be stepping up for the next penalty we have.”
