Noble: “Two weeks to become a proper team”

nOBESMark Noble can’t wait to see Sam Allardyce’s starting line-up for the match against Sampdoria this weekend.

And he will be interested to see the starting line-up declaring:  “With so many players coming in and some of the injuries we’ve got, it’ll be interesting to see what starting XI the gaffer will go with.

He told www.whufc.com: “We’ve got less than two weeks now to knuckle down and to become a proper team and hopefully we can get another couple of signings in to improve the squad and the team.”

Looking back at the trip to Germany he said: “The level was a lot higher and the teams were a lot better and we coped well in spells. We played Malaga and they had all the ball, but it was a good work out for the boys. We know the way the Spanish play; you expect that.

“It’s hard as I’ve been through pre-seasons before and we’ve battered every team we’ve come across but then we’ve lost the first three games of the season. So I think in pre-season it’s all about fitness, getting to a level where you want to be at to play in the Premier League.”

  1. We all know to well that for all Nobles wishes for an exciting team full of flair and creativiety we are more likely to get a team full of dull and average at best players.

    So on that note:
My team to face Spurs first game of season that BFS picks is as follows:

    Adrian

    Potts
    Reid
    Tomkins
    Cresswell

    Downing
    Jarvis
    Diame
    Noble
    Nolan

    C COLE
