Nolan masterminded Brentford win? – we’re still laughing

When I first saw the suggestion that Kevin Nolan had masterminded the win over Brentford I simply roared with laughter. Such a wind-up but there were those who took it seriously. Kevin Nolan, whose spells at at Notts County and Leyton Orient ended in his dismissal from both clubs,. taking over from a man who is currently fighting to get his career back in line after the threat of a technical director emerged.

Nolan masterminded Brentford win – we’re still laughing

It is a threat  shown by the fact that the club avoided using the title of Director of Football as David Moyes has allegedly dismissed the idea of working with such a person in the past. Given that, the idea that he would accept Nolan as manager for a game whilst he sat doing nothing is utterly ludicrous and drew these responses from a couple of Claret and Hugh Facebook members.

Kevin Williams commented: Some people just love mischief making. We won well so obviously it couldn’t be anything to do with David Moyes could it? Why not make up a story about it all being Kevin Nolan’s doing. Let’s just be happy we got a good win and scored some great goals. And Paqueta‘s return didn’t do any harm either.

Meanwhile CandH FB admin David Pope and group expert added: “There are numb nuts out there who have too much time on their hands. Ridiculous and unfounded rumours about Nolan taking charge of the match against Brentford …… what a pile of …. !!!!

Moyes prepared the squad and Bowen added a welcome injection of motivation both on and off the pitch, Well done!
It wasn’t pure ‘Moyesball’ as some have tried to suggest. We were on the front foot for much of the game and had other chances been taken we would have demolished Brentford more than we did. Deserved win.
It makes you wonder what some people do with their lives when reading stuff like the Nolan nonsense.
