Nolan: “No one is guaranteed a game”

Kevin-NolanKevin Nolan has confirmed no-one is guaranteed a game while speaking at West Ham’s Reservation Centre in Westfield Shopping Centre.

“No one is guaranteed a game, If you don’t play well there is someone breathing down your neck and that can only be good for the squad. If you want to get better you need that strength in depth.” said Nolan

On the upcoming Manchester United game added: “United’s 5-3 defeat by Leicester was really strange. United conceded the sort of goals you wouldn’t expect from them. To be 3-1 and lose 5-3 was a massive shock but we have to go there and impose ourselves on them, as we did against Liverpool. I’m really optimistic about the weekend.

“If we are up to the standard we showed against Liverpool, I can see us getting a good result up there.”

Kevin Nolan is scheduled to fit and therefore ready for possible squad selection on the 5th October for the game against QPR but Claret and Hugh understand there is an outside chance he could pass a late fitness test ahead of West Ham’s trip to Manchester on Saturday.

  1. How to lose all the optimism in one small sentence ,’Nolan is back’.

  2. yes Kevin – everyone has to earn the right for their position in the team – except you of course!
