Now it’s United as Irons stay injury free

Zouma looks likely to retain his place for Sunday’s game

West Ham emerged from last evening’s fine win in Croatia having suffered no further injuries.

And that puts David Moyes in the perfect position as he decides on his line-up for the massive Sunday game against Manchester United.

It would be easy to see him making several changes based on last night’s performance and result but that could be self defeating given the premier League squad is unbeaten this season

And Moysie is not a manager who generally changes winning teams or rushes back previously injured players or new signings.

He made the exception last night in order to make room for three in particular – Vlasdi Coufal, who was clearly in need of a rest, Oggy and  Craig Dawson in oder to debut his big summer signing Kurt Zouma whilst making room for Nikola Vlasic.

Coufal will definitely return despite Ryan Fredericks fine showing whilst it seems more than sensible to go with Oggy and Zouma in the middle of defence given the Ronaldo threat.

That would be tough on Diop who was outstanding in Croatia but it demonstrates the growing ability West Ham are developing on the rotation front – another highly enjoyable aspect of last night’s performance.

Our team for the United clash: (4-2-3-1) Fabianski; Coufal, Zouma, Oggy, Cresswell; Rice. Soucek; Vlasic, Benrahma, Fornals; Bowen.

Subs: Areola, Fredericks, Johnson, Diop, Dawson, Lanzini, Noble, Yarmolenko, Masuaku.
