Sassuolo has emerged as the latest Italian club to show interest in Pedro Obiang according to a report by Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio
Earlier this week Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported Obiang is the target of Bologna who were keen to sign the Hammers midfielder.
Obiang has been linked with a return back to Italy, four seasons after joining from Sampdoria. Several clubs in Italy are keen on bringing the West Ham man back to Serie A.
In January, Fiorentina nearly signed Obiang for £10m before he was denied his move by Pellegrini who said he didn’t have enough coverage for the remainder of the season. He was promised his move back to Itay in the summer if his valuation was met.
Fiorentina could yet swoop again, as could former club Sampdoria want him back, alongside Roma who is also said to hold some interest.
So far no formal bids have been submitted for 27-year-old who is said to earn around £50,000 per week at West Ham. He is valued around £8m.
