Obiang is open to offers says agent

ObiangA person claiming to be the agent of West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang has told CalcioMercato.it in Italy that his client would consider offers from other clubs but bizarrely insisted Obiang is currently happy to stay with the Hammers.

23 year old Obiang only joined the Irons from Serie A side Sampdoria last summer on a five-year contract for a transfer fee believed to be £4.5 million.

Jose Miguel Gonzalez has told CalcioMercato.it that Obiang would consider leaving if a team made a proposal for him.

“We’re very pleased with the adaptation to the new project with West Ham and the Premier League in general,” said Gonzalez. “Pedro is fascinated by the city, the language and everything else. It’s a great experience and the team is doing very well, fighting for the top places.”

  1. Football would be a lot better off without agents like that, that’s for sure !!! He (Obiang) is just settling into the first team and this idiot, if he is his agent is looking to uproot him before he has proved himself… I am not usually one for regulation but maybe these agents should be regulated and held to account when they are found to bring the sport into disrepute.

  2. Does he not have a contract ? Yes
    Go away stupid agent,
Obiang has a big future at our club and has no need to look for another club
    Never ends these stupid rumours

  3. He’s been settling into the team well, far better than Song. More starts for this dude.

  4. ‘pleased with the adaptation to the new project”, what a pratt!

  5. Levy in disguise ?
23 yo , 5 year contract ! What does the club say Hugh , can they put it to bed ! IMO , its just cock and bull .

  6. You have to remember agents only earn the big money when their clients move so they are motivated to move them on as much as possible. Loyalty is rare now and most players will consider a move if the money is better, the terms of the contract are better and if it a club that furthers their career and future job prospects.

  7. On transfer market his agent is listed as FAMILIENANGEHÖRIGER which are an agent group which manage many players including Messi. Jose Miguel Gonzalez has been mentioned before when Obiang signed for us for $8.5m euros
