O’Brien return ends in disappointment

O'BrienJoey O’Brien’s return from injury couldn’t save the under-21s from defeat at the hands of Fulham’s under 21s last night (Mon).

O’Brien made his first start since recovering from a knee problem sustaned in the Europa Cup appearance  against Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League on July 30.

 Jordan Evans and Dean O’Halloran clinched victory for Fulham – their first in a month.

The opener, on 34 minutes,  was a curling free-kick from 30 yards and the second, a low shot in front of 2,370 fans – one of hom was first team skipper Mark Noble .

O’Brien was taken off after 61 minutes.
