Joseph Anang has left West Ham to join Derby County on loan, BBC Sport has reported.

The young goalkeeper has departed as he bids to play regular first-team football and continue his development.

Anang was on loan at St Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland but he has been recalled and subsequently allowed to move to Derby.

He will spend the remainder of the season with the League One club.

Anang has previously gone on loan to Stevenage and he is the third goalkeeper that Derby have signed this summer.

The stopper has yet to make his first-team debut for the Irons but has been a fixture in the youth sides, and will now be aiming to play regularly for the Rams.

Derby have enjoyed a strong start to the season after their relegation from the Championship; they have won two of their first three games and subsequently sit seventh in the table.
