Official: Dimitri Payet is a Hammer

payet_signing_726Maybe some what of an anti climax after so much speculation but West Ham United have finally officially announced the signing of 28 year French International Dimitri Payet  from Marseille on a five year deal for a fee believed to be £10.7m.

He becomes the third signing of the summer following the arrival of Darren Randolph and Pedro Obiang.

Payet has been capped 15 times for France and scored 7 goals and made 17 assists for Marseille last season.

The club website announced “West Ham United are delighted to confirm the signing of the exceptional France international Dimitri Payet.”The outstanding 28-year-old joins the Hammers on a five-year contract, with a further one-year option, for an undisclosed eight-figure fee from French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.

Welcome to West Ham Dimitri!

  5. COYI 🙂 🙂

  6. So who is the other signing? I’ve been reading ‘Double Signing’ all week!

  7. At Last something positive ;; welcome to the Upton Park looney Bin .
After all the hype we are expecting something special from Dimitri Payet ; hope he can integrate and show his much publisised Talent …. Great news for the Hammers …
All very exciting stuff ,,, but who is the other apart from the much speculated Alex Song .
Somebody ( Maybe Hearn and friends at Charlton & Late Orient ) ) is trying to scupper our move to the Olympic Stadium …. I feel sure that West Ham have secured the deal by contract which can not be reversed no matter how people ( jealous people ) may or not think , because they missed the train …. For sure the next thing we will hear is a proposal for Ground Sharing with a club that are in the dumps and need some kind of lift at our expense …. The Bidding was carried out ages ago ,, where were these Jelous people at the time of West Ham United and their Board applying for the right to play there ??.
    Hammers Forever .

  8. Ahhh,thats good,a very positive Kev.That is how we like it 😉

  9. Yep well said Kev. People will keep banging on but it’s a done deal the OS is ours.

  10. At last a piece of real news, and good news at that. Now all we need is for the Jenkinson, Song saga to be finished up , then we can concentrate on filling the gaps where we are still thin, like along the back and maybe, just maybe another quality striker, then we should be in good shape

  11. Nice one canchaz even you’re positive today and no whistling lol
