Of course, we have known this fact for many years but the London Evening Standard confirmed it so it must be true! right? The Evening standard published a table of West Ham results this season against the big clubs.
They included Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and bizarrely Everton but omitted Spurs from the list.
West Ham has won seven games including a treble over Liverpool against these so called ‘big clubs’ this season and drawn six games but importantly we have not lost a single game against them.
If we include the smaller clubs in the division we lost one and won one against Tottenham Hotspur this season.
Lol,funny,Sean publishes a table compiled by the Evening Standard & he is getting the grief.Hope you have thick skin Seanie Boy 😀
Adding in Spurs simply would have ruined the whole thing though, wouldn’t it? And that 4-1 was about as bad as we’ve played under Lord Bilic….
Well that’s you put in your place Sean 🙂
West Ham are a big club. In sociological terms always have been and always will be, I’m sure. I am a Spurs fan. I could have easily been a West Ham fan if the circumstances had been that way. But I’m not. I’m Tottenham and as tribal as the best of them , make no mistake. Do I think West Ham will go on to be an even bigger more successful club than they have been. You bet your bottom dollar I do. Their support is awe inspiring and anyone would be proud to be part of that clan and sense of camaraderie. They will win at some stage their first premier division title – I’m confident. All of the above is honest, heartfelt and considered. It is however in response to the article above, which in my view and I reckon most genuine Hammers fans’, a silly assumption about Tottenham and their status in the game. Tottenham Hotspur are as entrenched in the bedrock of English football as is possible to be. They are great in the true sense of the word. A club far more significant than say a Chelsea are. They will rise to former glories again as sure as God made apples, only this will happen organically and hence be filled with pure unadulterated glory in
footballs sphere of perception. Banter or no banter, to discount Spurs as a big club is to cast doubt on the writers credibility as an authority on the game. And more significantly, diminishes the good name of West Ham in the process. I urge the author to think again and above all be well researched on matters you opine on. It is not only your name you put at risk but the glorious name of west Ham!
Bournemouth is simple after Slav Howe is the best manager in the league,
Second Wilson up front and there midfield put us on the back foot and they deserved there win, plus we were finding our feet at the time at home trying to find something that worked,
Newcastle attacked from the start and caught us on the hop by the time we got control we were 2 down we just did not get the rub that day but we did deserve a draw
Spuds are a better side then Cloggers and we know it but let’s hope these statistics stay for the season because that will put us in the top 4 and FA cup final
…so how on earth did we lose to Newcastle and Bournemouth…!
“West Ham has won 13 games including a treble over Liverpool against these so called ‘big clubs’ this season and drawn six games but importantly we have not lost a single game against them.”
Actually we’ve played 13 games and won 7
It is international break so only a bit of fun 😉 The standard printed it so it must be true 😉 chill! it’s a bank holiday weekend……..
Hi Sean, I AM chilling…with my favourite past-time: taking the p1ss….Absoluterly, all a bit of fun….although my reply about Slav’s pay was serious! COYI!
Proof perfect we are better than Spurs? Includes Everton, but not Spurs?…Phew! What a relief; we would never want people thinking this is biased would we? ….er…er…would we?…?
Beautiful piece of barrel scraping there….Got any more biased gems for us to lap up as gospel? Preen our little claret and blue feathers with?
