Olympic Stadium opens for business

SatdiumThe grass turf will be laid at the rebuilt Olympic Stadium next week just in time for the Morrisons Great Newham run on Sunday 19th July.

Entry to the stadium on Sunday 19th July is limited to to family and friends of registered runners as they make their way down the finishing straight on the famous running track inside the former Olympic Stadium.

All entrants taking part in the Morrisons Great Newham London Run 10k event will receive two spectator passes as part of their entry to the stadium. Each paying adult in the family run will also receive two spectator passes to the stadium.

Anyone can enter Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park that weekend but only those holding spectator passes or run numbers will be granted access to the Stadium.

The following weekend 24th to 26th July British Athletics are hosting the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games. Three days of  athletics on the anniversary of the London 2012 Opening Ceremony. There will be three days of athletics and IAAF Diamond League action taking place on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon with many of the Olympic Champions, and the Sunday showcasing Paralympians from 2012.
