Olympic Stadium pitch takes shape

Time lapse photos from the Olympic Stadium show the outline of the pitch has been finally revealed. Construction firm Balfour Beatty and their subcontractors are currently working 24×7 to get the Stadium finished before the first stadium test event on the 19th July.

Construction will stop between the 19th July and 7th November to allow test events and the Rugby world cup to take place.

  1. Sexy stadium.Wish my missus was this sexy & quiet 😀

  2. Dont look to good from here. I’m sure that it will get better for when we move in. Board have said that no seat will be any worse than those at wembley.
O/T according to London 24, west ham target to replace Benitez at Napoli. Unai Emery.. who the f##k or where the f##k has his name come from??

  3. He is the Valencia manager, done really well with them.He has been about for a while.Bubs lives in the Valencia region,he says he is a top manager i think.

  4. Sorry he was at valencia. He is Sevilla manager now, just remembered he left valencia

  5. I’ve heard of him but since when has he been a target for us??
Some lazy journo who just fires out names & hopes one sticks. Then he can say ” Exclusive, we said it first”

  6. Probably,i read on HITC that we had turned done the chance of appointing him.

  7. Again these pics look like fish lens perspectives to me in order to take in the whole stadium. I suppose if you are in the position where the pics were taken from, in person inside the OS, the pitch would be a lot closer than the pics might suggest.

  8. Looks Great it must be said :
Yep , I’m back … Had a shed load of soul searching with reading all the comments ,, not all of them very nice ,,, comments that questioned my reasoning and state of mind !,.
I admit I had a few moments of doubt and responded accordingly .
But now , I am firmly back in the Big Sam camp . ,,, Why ; well because I have been told I am pathetic by a fan who thinks we are a Big Club with Loads of Money and dares to compare Allardyce with Moaninho & Wanger …. At the start of the season we were playing some very boring football , but with results .. Some fans preferred we play another way regardless of the results … Big Sam responded and started to play a entertaining game to subdue the crowd . We were actually being applauded for our game by all the pundits and Supporters throughout the Prem ,,, but no , there were still some element of fans that by obsession wanted Big Sam out …. Injuries basically meant a halt to our better way of playing which resulted in a survival style of play . With a full squad under Big Sam we are capable of playing great football and with panash . And , for the record please tell me which Premiership managers have won so many trophies apart from the obvious top couple of clubs . .. You are all basically talking out of your Hats because you don’t like Premiership survival !!! ,. We have had a more or less half fit team since before Christmas and got away with a few results ,, but those results were down to hard work and commitment ,,, shame some of you supporters can’t rally to that .
Yep , I’m back ,, and still think Big Sam is our only real , true , option .
Who would do better ????? . And do you want to take the chance ??? .
Be Very Careful what you wish for …. Survival or slump ..
And to call me ” pathetic ” , is , basically ” Pathetic ” … I have been a supporter for many years more than you , Guaranteed .
Our old style of Football has seen us relegated more times than I care to remember ,, exciting as it may have been ,,, with Brooking , Devonshire and the band Ect Ect ect .
Stop passing me off with condescending remarks … Been a fan for too many years now .

  9. At this phase they are just putting in a temporary lower seating area for the rugby world cup, once the rugby is over its being ripped out and the final retractable lower bowl will go it for football mode and athletics made to be possible

  10. ahahah.. Ah, you return to form KN, I’m really happy, yesterday you were so down… I think you look fantastic, last night has brought to you senses… Did you sleep well with your arm around your little stuffed hippo? lool

  11. It will good when we go there im sure.Whatever people think we are going there so lets get on with it & make it The Irons new fortress. Not that The Boleyn is much of a fortress these days, lol.Good to you are back battling again today Kevin Nolan, you seemed very down yesterday. But still you need to try to rid yourself of this love you carry for Samuel,it will end up as a burden for you 😀
