Owen gives his Irons v Spurs prediction

Michael Owen has predicted that the Irons will be knocked out of He added: the Carabao Cup at the London Stadium this evening.

Speaking to  BetVictor the former Liverpool and England striker said: “Spurs are back in action just 48 hours after their Wembley clash with Manchester City and I expect Mauricio Pochettino’s side to gain revenge for last season when the Hammers came from two-down to win 3-2 at Wembley at the corresponding stage of the competition.”

He added: “Both managers are likely to make changes, but I feel Spurs have the stronger squad although it is a concern they are playing just two days after their vital Premier League clash with City.”

It’s no real surprise to hear Owen dismissing our chances as it has become pretty much par for the course so as a bit of a cheer up hopefully ClaretandHugh is going for a 2-1 Hammers win with Antonio and Ogbonna the scorers.
