Oxford rules out West Ham return

oxfordWest Ham loanee Reece Oxford has ruled out an early return to West Ham this January saying he will remain in Germany and is only focussed on training and the chance to play. The 18-year-old did confirm he has a clause to return early but says he is not looking to activate it.

“It’s true that I have the option to go back to West Ham prematurely, but I’m not looking for it, but I just want to play here at Borussia,” Oxford told German newspaper Bild.

“I’m only focused on training and the possibility to play.”

Last week Claret and Hugh revealed that Reece Oxford is available for the right price with bids of £15m or more likely to tempt the owners to cash in. With Academy prospects of Declan Rice and Reece Burke, Oxford should be let go if a club meets his valuation.

  1. Hang on, I thought this lad was the “next big thing”? If he’s valued at £15 as teenager, then surely that in itself means he’s highly rated?

  2. I hope we are not considering selling him, he has the tools and I think the attitude judging by this press release to succeed, some players are lucky they hit the ground running and keep going, in Reece case he hit the ground running but was then taken out of the firing line prematurely imho but now he is digging deep to try and make it which shows if all that is written is correct that he doesn’t have an over inflated opinion of himself and he is prepared to graft to make his dreams come true, I really hope he finds his way into the Borussia team and shows the World what he is capable of, keep up the good work Reece COYI !!

    • Bilic did a rice on him 32 !!
V Everton , lukaku slipped him and scored and that was it !! Then it was confidence knocked
and loaned out after not performing to well for the stiffs ?
Child abuse in football is how I call it and is rife in the game ! IMHO social services need to be involved for their welfare , especially the seven year olds and upwards ? And that’s not even mentioning the abuse that has been known about for decades but was brushed under the carpet but is now all in the open with literally hundreds of people coming forward now!!
Went of track there but kids and teenagers need more protection in this cut throat game and the quicker the clubs are made aware of this the better our sport will be 😉 bilic and others talk about protecting the young UN’s but truth is they don’t give as 💩!!! They use and abuse .
