Crystal Palace are set to join the Irons in the chase for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, according to The Daily Mirror.

Slaven Bilic has been linked with the Nigeria international for some weeks but despite not having a manager in place – which makes to the report a little hard to swallow Palace  are keen on the 20-year-old..

The Eagles were were involved in a relegation scrap for much of last season before escaping whilst Sam Allardyce was at the helm ahead of his retirement.

But they relied heavily on Christian Benteke who scored 15 of their 50 league goals, and they apparently want to beef up their striker options via a move for the City striker.

The Hammers have admitted to ClaretandHugh they are keen on the player with a source saying: “At the moment we are getting no answers from City.”

Swansea and Everton are also keen on a player who is likely to cost around £17 million.
