CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon

Lucas Paqueta has arrived in London within the last hour as the Hammers come even closer to clinching a €50 million deal for the Lyon midfield ace.

We reported earlier that a deal could be done later today but we are now hearing that it is more likely to be completed tomorrow (Sun) following the 24 year old’s late arrival in the capital.

The Brazil international will reach his hotel room later this evening where talks on personal terms are expected to continue with a few details still to be ironed out between the Hammers and his agents.

But the fact that he has now travelled to the UK suggests that these will be settled before he heads for a medical tomorrow.

ClaretandHugh was told exclusively that the player was now in the UK and that both he, Lyon and the Hammers are looking for a contract to be signed over the next 24 hours.

I’m trying to not get too excited. As it seems to good to be true, my arms are crossed.
