Paqueta D day | FA inquiry new development

From the explosion of emotion on the pitch on Sunday, it is clear that Lucas Paquetá is a man under enormous pressure. Trying to maintain his composure after very nearly two years of living under the damoclean sword of a lifetime ban, the Brazilian is understandably near the end of his tether.

Indeed his own wife taking to social media in support of her husband seemed entirely justified for someone who – as much as we’ve been told – hasn’t had an opportunity to clear his name and has had to endure trial by media and social media in the meantime.

His dream move to Manchester City – along with West Ham’s financial gain – has been blown to bits by the allegations.

Finally though, it would seen the FA inquiry is about to reach its climax – for better or worse – according to Skysports.com.

It was been reported that the committee had to suspend the hearing owning to commitments from Paquetá’s own legal team – whatever the reason, the whole circus is about to grind towards its conclusion. Sky’s report details:

‘Lucas Paqueta will give evidence at his FA hearing in the coming weeks, Sky Sports News understands.

A three-week hearing was started in March and then adjourned. The hearing will continue in the coming weeks and Paqueta will give evidence to the independent panel for the first time.”

After two years living under the shadow of suspicion, Lucas Paquetá is finally about to get his opportunity to defend himself against the FA allegations – accusations which he of course refutes completely.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

    FA = Kuntz

The corruption here is by the FA . The FA has been paid to destroy Paqueta and Westham . The small amounts of money touted ( 7 pounds ) clearly are not worth a player risking his career . Actual money lost plus pain and suffering are over 100 million . I look forward to reading of suicides by some of the members of the FA

Sue the FA and anyone else for millions, not only did it affected his game and his mental health and wellbeing but his family and his teammates.
Shame on all those affiliated to the case because the longer it goes on is because they want to stitch him up

Absolutely disgraceful treatment. This guy has had so much negative press, mot including the keyboard warriors; no wonder he’s cracking. If they had hard evidence it should have been cut and dried quickly. The FA is not fit for purpose and should be looking inwardly at themselves. The process itself “reasonable doubt” is flawed and should not be the burden of proof of guilt. Grow up FA because that’s exactly what you’re bringing to the game

The way paqueta has been treated by the FA is disgraceful they have dragged this on and on . When they charged him they said that their evidence will show that he was guilty if that was the case then surely they would have presented the so called evidence to the kangaroo court and who sat in judgement decide guilty or not guilty personally I don’t believe he did anything wrong and the FA should have to pay him a substantial amount of compensation for all the stress piled on him and his family I hope he will have a change of heart and stay with us at the London stadium but if he does decide to leave and go back to Brazil I will wish him all the best

The way the FA has dealt with this is disgusting. You could see the emotion and strain on him. Why has it taken them so long to get this sorted. I hope that once this is done he sues them for every penny he can

About time! The FA should hang their heads in shame for the treatment of Paqueta. Hope you tell him of the support he is getting from the fans.
If no ban or fine is forth coming due to lack of evidence club and player should take them to court. The FA couldn’t run a bath between them let alone a football competition.

The FA cannot afford to find him innocent.
His failed move to City, including wages, bonus etc is millions.
His suffering for his mental health is worth a small fortune.
The loss in revenue for West ham for player sale is about 40 to 50 million.

you’re looking at 100 million upwards.
