Paqueta gives injury update

Lucas Paqueta has seemingly confirmed that his injury problem will keep him out of action this weekend and [pssibly beyond.

Claret and Hugh revealed yesterday (Tues) that the midfielder could be unavailable this weekend with a source at the London explaining that both he and Nayef Aguerd could “be out for weeks rather than months.”

Now the Brazilian has given his own update on Instagram and it certainly appears that he will be missing for the weekend game against Spurs and possibly beyond that.

It’s more grim news for David Moyes as he attempts to deal with the numerous injury problems that are affecting the squad.

And it means that Pablo Fornals could find himself drafted back into the team as a replacement for Paqueta who had been emerging as a real force for the Irons.

Fornals has been unable to force his way into the team over recent games but this looks like his opportunity to make an impact.

Commenting on Instagram Paqueta said: “Passing by to thank everyone (for their) messages,”

“One more scare, the same shoulder as before just other ligaments, but at least (it wasn’t) the worst (case scenario) of the problems!

“Been feeling a lot less pain and I’m recovering well, hopefully be back soon.”

  1. Such a shame , he was starting to l look good , wish him a speedy recovery and good luck ⚒

  2. I hope he doesn’t follow a trend at West Ham and return to to his home country, Brazil, to see specialists there! We need him back in the team in good shape as soon as is possible.
